I’ve connected to this quote since the first time I read it. Life changes ever so gradually, that we don’t actually notice it happening. That’s where I come in. I’ll come alongside you and your family and capture you in this moment, as you are.
Memories are some of the most valuable things we have. My job is to take it one step further and freeze your memories in an artful, visible form so that you can share these moments with your loved ones for all the years to come. I want you and your kids to look back at these photos one day and see more than just a picture-perfect image. Of course we’ll capture plenty of those nice, smiling-at-the-camera photos, but ultimately I want you to see what was real: The laughter, the love, the personalities, the more intricate relationships within the family at large. To get photos like this, all I’ll need from you is the willingness to show up and be present. And don’t worry about meltdowns occurring… it happens, and that’s what snack bribery breaks are for!

Step 2: Choose your package
After you choose your package, I will send you a questionnaire to fill out. This will help me get a better understanding of what you are looking for and who you are, so that we can both feel prepared for our time together!
Step 3: Questionnaire
We’ll meet at the predetermined time and location, and start creating some beautiful images for you and your family!
Step 4: Let’s create some magic!
After our time together, I’ll edit the photographs and you will have your final gallery delivered to your email within three weeks!

I think we can all safely say that time truly does FLY by. And the more time that goes by, the more these photographs will increase in value. That’s the beauty of heirlooms! These images will forever be there to help you remember this time in your family’s life, from the big picture down to the little details. They’re visible, tangible memories you’ll be able to hold on to and pass down to your kids, and your kids can one day pass down to their kids.
I always suggest wearing light neutrals (whites, creams, grays, tans etc.) because they photograph really beautifully. Clothes that have some movement are also gorgeous in photos! However, what I want more than anything is for you to feel like yourself! If you feel comfortable in the clothes you’re in, you’ll love the end result a whole lot more!

Not to worry! It’s really common for that to happen during a session. You can always count on a little bit of chaos, and you’ll be shocked at how much beauty can still be created even in the midst of it! For this reason though, I always like to get the “everyone smile at the camera” photos done first, and I suggest choosing a location where the kids can have room to run around when their attention spans wear off. This always makes for some beautiful candid/interactive photos! I also suggest bringing some bribe treats for your kiddos to give them an incentive to want to participate!

Family sessions can range from 1-2 hours depending on which package you choose. Newborn sessions have more of a loose time frame (they often range from 1.5-2 hours) since newborn schedules and feedings can be unpredictable.

I like to schedule newborn sessions to take place soon after a feeding to give us the best chances of having your baby be relaxed and sleepy. We’ll have plenty of buffer time available during the session in case more feedings/diaper changes are needed.

Absolutely! I know many people are concerned about feeling uncomfortable in front of the camera. But don’t worry! I will guide you and your family and set you up for each image, which will take the guesswork out of it for you. Your only job is to show up and be present with one another, I will take care of the rest!

LEAH IS THE BEST. We loved how comfortable and fun our time was - lots of laughing and collaboration (I may have laughed until I cried at one point) and the photos captured us and our relationship so well. She did such a good job of guiding us to poses and locations based on her expertise, while also just letting us be us! The photos themselves are beautiful, and she got them back to us so quickly!
