Blake & Gwyn | Downtown Chicago Engagement

Blake, Gwyn, and I spent some time together in The Art Institute Gardens as well as Olive Park, capturing some pretty photos on a sunny Saturday in July, and the day could not have been more perfect. 

Photographing Blake and Gwyn reminded me why I love doing what I do. They’re two extremely kind people who have such a big heart for others and especially for each other. When I met with Gwyn to discuss wedding details a while back, I asked her to describe her and Blake’s relationship, and she replied with a smile on her face, “We are just infatuated with each other.” So coming into this engagement session, that’s what I was aiming to capture. And gosh, was it effortless. All I had to do was tell them to look at each other, and everything else just happened naturally. The silliness, the giggles, the kisses, the joy, their radiating love—there was an abundance of it all, and I am so excited to capture it again this spring.
