Thomas & Shelby — 6.2.17

This past June, I had the honor of capturing Thomas and Shelby’s gorgeous wedding at Camp Rivercrest near Omaha, Nebraska. There are few things that are more beautiful than two people in love standing in front of their family and friends, committing themselves and the rest of their lives to one another, saying “til death do us part.” What gave Thomas and Shelby’s day an added bit of beauty and sentimentality, though, was the fact that they were committing their lives to one another at the very place that they met. One day a few years ago, Thomas arrived at this camp not knowing of Shelby’s existence. And one day a few years ago, Shelby arrived at this camp not knowing of Thomas’s existence. On June 2nd of this year at 10:00 pm, the two of them drove away from that same camp together as husband and wife. The place that they once entered into as two separate individuals is the place that they chose to become one in Christ.

And that is as beautiful as it gets.
